Retirement Village Review

We were delighted to welcome Jason and some of his beautiful birds to our village last week.

We were treated to and engaging and interactive talk about all the birds and Jason was able to allow many many people the chance to handle them and see them up close.

To see the looks on faces with Blu, Rocco, Tyson and the others was joyful and frankly has been the topic of conversation for many days since.

If you have an opportunity to welcome in Falconry UK, please do.

One Of The Best School Workshops I Have Experienced!

We were lucking enough to have Jason and his fantastic collection of birds visit our Year 5 class.

The workshop included meeting all the birds, finding out huge amounts about their behaviour, adaptations and individual personalities, as well as having the opportunity for the children (and staff) to hold all the birds using the gauntlet.

A few even had the experience of the birds flying to them!

Following this, Jason led an owl pellet investigation.

The whole class were able to get involved and loved the combination of fascinating bone finds and the delightfully disgusting act of pulling apart the pellets.

The half day workshop concluded with a very exciting team quiz which revisited all the learning from the morning.

Jason had a wonderful manner with the children.

His calm and engaging style meant that all the children were involved, even those who started off a little anxious about the birds.

In fact, one of the most concerned members of the class now wants to be a Falconer after their experience.

From a teacher's point of view, this was a workshop which was easy and enjoyable.

Jason smoothly managed the whole session, which a focus on the wellbeing of the birds, children and hygiene.

This made for a very relaxing experience for me...even whilst holding a vulture!

I chose this half day session to be the launch event or hook for the term of Science and Technology that lies ahead of us and it worked perfectly.

The children are all excited, engaged and prepped with a good level of knowledge to allow us to now build upon and extend their learning.

I would highly recommend a visit from Jason and I hope to welcome him and his feathered friends back soon!

School Visit

Thank you for a wonderful morning with us at Cardiff Montessori School.

Jason was engaging and the birds beautiful and clearly well looked after.

He was engaging and the students all thoroughly enjoyed the sessions.

Highly recommend.

School Visit

Jason & his birds came to visit us today and present to our EYFS & Year 1 children.

What a fantastic morning the children had - they all came out of the hall wishing they had longer time with the birds.

Jason was great explaining about each bird with his funny stories.

This was a great tie in with the baby owl topics but I think the rest of the school will enjoy this treat.

Can't wait to have Jason, his birds and Poppy the dog back into our school soon.

Definitely will be booking again.

School Visit

Jason and the birds were amazing!

This is a hook for our topic ‘The owl who was afraid of the dark’, and what a hook it was!

The children had a fantastic time and learnt so much!

The birds were incredible and all the children were able to hold them!

The highlight of the day was seeing Poppy, what a little superstar!

Thank you Jason for another fantastic, fun and educational visit!

Amazing - Bens 18th Gloucester

Wow! What a fantastic experience.

If im being honest i would have paid double.

Worth every penny.

This experience was a surprise for my sons 18th.

He has learning disabilities but Jason made sure my son was totally involved and he held all the birds.

Jason has a kind enthusiastic approach and his love and passion for these beautiful creatures shines through.

Highly recommended. Ive now passed details to lots of people as they loved the photos.

Ideal for all ages.

Thank you Jason for the laughs and education.

Everyone loved it and stll talk about it.

Ben's 18th

I was a guest at Ben's 18th, what an amazing experience!

I've got to admit I've always been a bit wary of all types of birds, but Jason's approach was so good a actually held one!

We all learned a lot whilst having so much fun, Jason is very friendly and made sure everyone had a chance to get involved.

A few of the young adults there have learning disabilities and Jason as great with them, didn't pressure them to answer or hold the birds.

I took so many photos and have told lots of people about it.

Couldn't recommend Falconry UK higher.

14th Bromley Scout Group

We were delighted with our visit from Falconry UK in May 2022.

Our scouts found the visit extremely engaging and the communication and delivery of the session was very well tailored to the 10-14 year old audience.

Falconry UK provided a very diverse range of bird species.

A lot of our volunteers have been in scouting for many years and have attended many bird displays in that time - we all left very impressed with the range of birds shown (many of which we had not been privileged to see before).

The scouts enjoyed how hands on and practical the session was, and Jason was very knowledgeable about the birds on display and was able to answer every question posed in an engaging and educative manner.

For the price we paid, we were absolutely delighted with what was provided and would recommend this experience to other scout groups (it was just as much a treat for the leaders as the young people)!

A Must Book!!!

Jason came to Avonwood Primary and delivered 3 workshops to Year 5.

He was very knowledgeable about the birds of prey and was able to share his passion with the children using lots of class recall of fascinating facts.

Children had a hands-on and personal experience with the birds; we were able to use all the information learnt in the visit in the children's reports on owls.

This was a great morning for all Year 5 children and related wonderfully to our key text.

All the children, who wanted to, were able to have a photograph with one of the birds and experience holding them.

We were also able to investigate the bird's pellets and how this showed us their diet.

Thank you to Falconry UK (and Bailey, Rocco, Blu and Marmalade) for their expertise, patience and entertaining workshops!

The children (and staff) loved it!

Evie & Daisy’s 7th Birthday

Jason made the girls birthday party one to remember.

Was a truly magical time from the time Jason got there till the time he left.

He was amazing with the kids and they all loved it and really enjoyed.

It was really interesting to listen to and see all the birds out and watching the children hold them and their faces light up.

I would highly recommend Jason .. a fab expertise and one to remember.

Not forgetting how much the adults enjoyed  ❤️

Family Celebration Made Complete

Huge thanks to Jason and his wonderful birds for making our celebration complete.

Three generations of our family spent a weekend together, and the highlight was Jason's visit.

He engaged the interest of us all, we were both educated and entertained.

Jason is very knowledgeable about all his birds, and being able to have them fly to our fist (with gauntlet) and be so close to them was a very special experience.

Birds of Prey Workshop- Kingfisher Hall Primary Academy

Thank you Jason for delivering an outstanding workshop to our year three pupils.

The children loved learning about different birds of prey and now have a sound knowledge about them.

The best thing about you was the way you delivered the lessons.

It was very practical, engaging and memorable.

I would recommend Falconry UK (Jason Ashcroft) to any school, organisation or individual.

A fantastic experience!

Jason brought his fabulous birds of prey to engage our Year 3&4 children in their topic 'Predator'.

Not only was the set up and display highly professional but Jason was excellent with the children.

He completely captured the pupils with his knowledge and engaging manner.

I can't recommend this experience enough and we can't wait to have Falconry UK back at Maesynryn Promiary again soon!

Litchard Primary School

Jason came to Litchard Primary and delivered 3 workshops for children aged 3-11.

The quality of his delivery and his 'way' witht the children was fantastic.

The birds themselves were something else altogether!

To be able to see and interact with such rare and beautiful creatures isn't something any of us will forget!

Across the board this was an outstanding visit that we will undoubtedly look to repeat in the not too distant future. Brilliant.

Farnham Heath End School Visit

Summer term week 1 - Newsletter. The FHES Science department kicked off the Summer term with an inspiring event with Falconry-UK.

It was a privilege to welcome the Falconry-UK to FHES with their birds of prey.

We were introduced to a range of beautiful and fascinating birds of prey.

Year 8 students were delighted and enthralled to meet Rocco the Pygmy Falcon, Brooklyn the Verreaux Milky Eagle owl, Bailey the White Faced Owl, Blu the Blue Winged Kookaburra and many more.

Students were engaged and enthused by Jason Ashcroft’s expertise and knowledge.

His passion and pride for the birds was evident throughout.

FHES students were given the opportunity to participate and handle the birds, with great care and he seamlessly focused his presentation on the topic of Adaptation which the students will be studying in their science curriculum.

The question and feedback sessions were particularly engaging and the students were completely at ease and eager to participate.

Jason was very keen to thank and praise all Year 8 FHES students for their calm, considered and respectful behaviour towards the birds during all the sessions.

We look forward to further events with Falconry-UK in the future.

Well done Year 8s, it was an absolute pleasure to organise for you and to see the awe and wonder on your faces.

Many thanks to FHES staff who supported the science team with this event. Dhanya Birtwistle ( Science HoD)

Amazing Learning Experience

We had the best day when Jason visited our school in North Wales.

The pupils in Year 5 loved learning all about different Birds of Prey and really enjoyed learning all about their environment and how they live in our World.

Jason and his team was very professional and communicated with us well to ensure that the learners got the best out of the learning experience.

Birthday Surprise

What an amazing experience for a surprise present for Mums 93rd birthday.

Jason was fantastic and his beautiful birds are amazing.

So well presented with lots of information and interaction, a real testament to Jason's care and bond with all the birds.

Highly recommend this company

Thanks Jason and birds for making Mum's birthday so memorable.

Milie's Birthday Party!!

We had an AMAZING time!

We had a small soirée for my Harry Potter mad 8 Years old and both kids and adults alike had a wonderful time!

Meeting the birds was such a treat, Jason is a brilliant teacher but he's also fun, which meant the kids were really engaged and the whole experience was really great!

Would absolutely recommend!

An added bonus was to meet Bailey and Blu who appeared on "Operation Ouch" a firm family favourite.

Thank you SO MUCH!!

Fantastic Holiday Club Visit

Jason and his beautiful feathered friends visited our holiday club in Feb 2022 Half Term.

After personally seeing Jason at local events in the Bridgend area, I knew the visit would be a hit.

Jason was helpful from the start.

His emails were prompt and informative.

The children absolutely loved the visit - Lots of fun facts, opportunities to hold the owls and it was clear to see Jason loved his birds.

Thank you again Jason - Look forward to seeing you soon for another visit.

Visit To OSCA Holiday Club

Wow! What a wonderful experience had by all of our children.

Jason organised our group so all children had the opportunity to meet the birds close up and allowed time for a photograph too.

The workshop after was met with a mixed reaction from our children who were given the opportunity to 'dissect' owl pellets.

Here are some of the comments from our children:
