Jason brought his birds to our school today and did some amazing workshops for children in Y3-6.

The children were absolutely captivated and really enjoyed being able to answer his questions whilst looking at and having photos taken with the owls and kookaburra.

He was so knowledgeable and imparted so much interesting information in a fun and child-friendly way.

The children talked about it non-stop all day and were so chuffed with the photos of themselves standing next to the birds.

It was the perfect link to our Y4 and Y6 science topics of classification and built on what Y6 had learned about in our evolution topic about adaptation and survival of the fittest.

Jason came to our school a week after the children came back from lockdown.

Jason was so professional and even though we all had to be 2 metres apart he delivered the show with ease.

This was our first visit from Falconry UK for Years 1 and 2 and it was such a wonderful experience.

The time spent teaching, combined with meeting and getting to hold the incredible birds, left the children spending the rest of the recounting.

This was the second time Jason came to our school.

The children were constantly engaged in the session and learnt so much about the birds.

They loved holding them and seeing what the birds could do and all went home talking about what a great day they’d had.

Even some of the children who were scared beforehand joined in and loved it.

The workshop was also great with the children investigating pellets (found that morning no less) and they really ‘dug in’! Is definitely worth doing.

Yesterday was NOT the first time Jason have came to our care home.

I was personally impressed the last time thats why I rebooked him again.

I like the way that he involves all the residents in the afternoon, he asks them questions, he has a laugh with them, he tells them interesting facts, and he goes out of his way to make sure they all have photographs with the birds, even though some residents may have disabilities or dementia, he is great at his job.

We all enjoyed the afternoon and I will be rebooking him in the future.

Jason is such a great guy, he went above and beyond to make it to our house on New Year’s Day!

It was a treat for my sons 6th Birthday.

Jason made the birthday boy feel special and kept everyone engaged and entertained, the birds were so beautiful and we all learnt something new!

This is now the 5th year that we have booked the Falconry Experience and every year Jason puts on a fantastic experience for the children.

He brings an element of comedy for the children while keeping them engrossed in all aspects of his birds of prey.
